Is there a minimum age to apply for the course?

The course is designed for high-school age through adult.

Is there a deposit required? Is it refundable?

There is a 50% deposit to reserve your spot. 40% is refundable if requested by June 30, 2024. You may pay in full upon registration, in which case 85% is refundable if requested by June 30, 2024.

Is there a deadline to apply?

As the capacity of the course is only 15 people, we recommend applying early.

Do I need a visa to enter Ecuador?

U.S. citizens and legal residents do not need to apply for a separate visa. Your passport will be stamped with a 90-day tourist visa upon entry. Citizens/residents of other countries: please send us a note with your details and we will check for you.

Are vegetarian meals available?

The breakfasts and lunches included in the course are prepared by the award-winning staff at Hotel Ilaló. They are specialists in vegetarian cuisine.
